As many people know, we are supported by one-half of one percent of the sales tax. Until now, this has allowed the library to generously serve our community, grow at a reasonable pace, and meet the needs of our community. This has worked well for us in the past, but we have reached a point where expansion is necessary. We must evolve to stay relevant. We must do more than simply give out books; libraries are becoming centers of lifelong learning. Other than teach our kids to love reading, we offer new ways to explore a bigger world. Our Maker Space is open for all ages, children meet in the Discovery Club to experiment and create, 'tweens (ages 8-12) attend science and computer (STEM) workshops, teens volunteer and facilitate the Summer Reading Program, adults attend Lunch and Learn seminars, the disabled and seniors are offered chair yoga, and many nonprofits and groups have a place to meet. We want to continue to develop new and exciting programs for the future. Growth helps us to meet more needs and better serve the community. There is so much more to learn and so many more people to be enriched. Your monthly donations help us BUILD our library's future and budget more effectively.
Keep learning alive with your legacy gift to our 1% Club.
